About the property
Your whole group will love the easy access to endless amenities including skiing, snowmobiling, hiking, kayaking fishing, golf, tennis, shopping, restaurants and more! Our family home is off the access road to Stratton mountain with only a 7 minute drive to the base. The VERY well maintained 27 hole golf course that over looks the mountain is only 5 minutes away. With a 10 PERSON HOT TUB, sauna and fire pit you'll have everything you need to relax after a day of exploring!
Our large 5 bed, 3.5 bath home has everything you’re looking for in a VT vacation rental. Come home and relax in the sauna or 10 person hot tub. Sit around the fire pit to roast some s'mores or hang out on one of the TWO decks after a long day of skiing, hiking or golf! The wide open living room is perfect for an after dinner family game night or a game of foosball! Watch a movie or the game on the 75" screen TV that has a Roku hook up. Kids can even play xbox (if the parents allow it!). Store your boards, skis, boots and jackets in the closet next to the front door to dry! With all brand new appliances, dishes should be easy and cooking a breeze. Feel free to use the grill as well which has propane and is on the deck closest to the kitchen (Just be sure to clean up your mess when you are finished!).
On the top floor you will find a Queen sized bed with a working station for those who need to work on the road. There is also a tv with a Roku hook up and a skylight that brings in the sun in the morning and the stars at night. Right off the master bedroom is the master bathroom with a standing shower as well as your own jacuzzi hot tub. If you are someone that doesn't like a cold bathroom in the morning make sure to turn on the heat lamp to make the floor warmer on your toes! On the other side of the master bedroom across the hall you will find the smallest bedroom in the house. Perfect for someone who wants their own space. This room is just big enough to bring in your suit case, hang some clothes and sleep on the twin sized bed.
On the bottom floor you will find most of the sleeping accommodations along with the sauna and 2 bathrooms. The first room at the bottom of the stairs has 2 twin sized beds and a door leading to the back yard. Plenty of room to spread out and a dresser/closet to store bags or clothes. The next room has the biggest bed in the house as well as a tv with a Roku hook up. A King sized bed with a dresser and closet for those who like to unpack. The last room is perfect for a close group of friends or kids on a family vacation. There are 2 sets of bunk beds and a full futon to make sure everyone has a place to sleep.
For larger groups or for groups that want to spread out more, the large couch in the living room is an option for people to crash. If you want to bring an air mattress there is also room in the living room to blow one up.
Each room has their own personal AC/heating unit along with a fan to adjust to your personal liking.

1990s style home close to Stratton mountain. Large living area with well-functioning fireplace, dining area spacious enough for 8-10 people, small but workable kitchen. The upstairs bedroom suite/adjoining small bedroom is very elegant. Basement bedrooms functional and ample. Several of the advertised elements were not usable or easily accessed. The jacuzzi could not be used because the tub drains did not hold water. The fire pit was not shoveled so could not be accessed and we had to shovel a path to the hot tub outside of a lower bedroom door. This was below the level of our expectation given the price point for this rental and the advertised pictures. I Owner was timely and responsive to our concerns - unfortunately not all could be rectified.
The host Casey is very responsive which we truly appreciated, but "An Oasis", this is not. The house is worn and the bathrooms were not cleaned to the level they should have been. Casey offered to have the cleaning service return, but with a house full of kids, we didn't want the disruption. The master bedroom tv on the top floor didn't work, which we didn't realize until our first evening, so we were without a tv the first night. However Casey had it replaced the next morning which we appreciated. The coffee maker didn't work, and the fireplace flue didn't function properly, so we quickly had to douse our beautiful fire with water to put it out, as smoke started entering the house - we couldn't enjoy a fire. And the firepit area outside wasn't shoveled so that area could not be used. I just think owners should check that everything works in their home before new renters arrive. Hopefully all these items will be fixed/replaced before the next set of renters arrive. The location of the home is perfect! Truly only a 5 minute drive to Stratton Mountain. And again, Casey was very responsive which was great.
Wonderful house for a weekend of shredding in Stratton. The place is great for large groups and has everything you need to simply relax and enjoy. We went on the coldest weekend possible, and it was still comfortable. The hosts were truly amazing. They responded very quickly and were always willing to help. They were super attentive to our needs and well-being, especially in such tricky conditions. 10/10
